The running of any organisation requires people to put in time.

The running of a local RA group is done by unpaid volunteers.

The committee consists of a number of posts that require a variety of skills.

• Chair - running meetings and being a spokesperson for the group
• Treasurer - managing our finances
• Secretary - handling queries and recording meetings
• Footpath Secretary - liaising with footpath wardens and councils on the state of the footpath network
• Programme Secretary - putting together a walks programme and recruiting walks leaders
• Membership Secretary - handling membership queries and maintaining a membership list
• Wednesday Rep - representing the Wednesday group 
• General member - representing ordinary members at committee meetings
